Personal training with Kristin

Kristin started personal training in 2008 in New York City after a successful career as an NCAA Division 1 national champion in rowing at Princeton. She went on to coach rowing at Princeton and UW-Madison, earned a masters degree in 2015 and a PhD in 2018 in exercise physiology, and has a well established career as a researcher, scientist and writer. She has been teaching yoga and group fitness for nearly 10 years, and she would tell you that she thinks of herself as having a very well-rounded approach to fitness and your relationship to its place in your life. Kristin understands the ebbs and flows of life, and how continuing to remain active and strong can be extremely challenging with the demands of daily living. At the same time, she thrives on setting up a structure for you to set goals around consistency, intensity, and commitment to your own health.

If you’d like to train with Kristin, she asks that you train a minimum of 1x per week, and up to 3x per week at the FIT studio in Catskill. If you’d like to inquire about either in-person or remote training, reach out at kristin@lavahotyoga.com.
